12 months of Charity 2018

We have been so delighted to have taken part in our 12 months of charity this year, we have thoroughly enjoyed raising money for amazing charities that all mean so much to us in one way or another.
A big thank you to all that have supported us in some way over this last year…
Please keep reading to see how we achieved a grand total of £2162.82
It was our lovely Francesca who gave us the idea for 12 months of charity as she challenged herself to complete Dry January, she clearly raised a decent amount and had the support behind her.
Francesca raised a whopping £949 for the Brain Tumor Research UK.

The KHM team put their baking skills to the test and hosted a cake sale for Wood Green Animal Shelter and raised £115 and we didn’t receive any complaints 😉

what better way to make some money than having a Swear Jar in the office! we wanted to raise money for a lady that was diagnosed with terminal Hodgkins’s Lymphoma, the money raised was for her to enjoy an experience of her choice with her family. We raised £130!!

In April we enjoyed watching Harrison and Dan, two of our team members get their armpits and legs waxed by the ladies from Elysium Beauty Salon. they raised £305 for Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.

May was our quiz night which was one of the funniest nights in 2018! we raised a nice £363 for Great Ormond Street Hospital and children’s charity and was hosted by the fabulous Ginny Tonic.
In June the KHM team collected games and toys which we delivered to the Keech Hospital Care who care and support to children and their families.

We wanted to support a local charity, we chose Home-Start which is a unique organisation that helps families with at least one child age 9 and under deal with whatever life throws at them. they support parents as they learn to cope, improve their confidence and build better lives for their children. The benefits of our support include improved health and wellbeing and better family relationships.
We donated £100 to support their charity.
In August we sponsored Margaret’s House which is a residential and dementia care home with their sponsored walk

In September the team had a wardrobe clear out and delivered their clothes for Cancer research.
We also donated £100 to the Letchworth Garden Hospice for a charity night that was hosted.
For October we created a Halloween inspired word search in which the winner received a £50 donation to their chosen charity. One of our clients also matched our donation and a total of £100 was donated to Cancer Research and Arthur Rank Hospice.

In November we collected a range of foods that Royston Food Bank was asking for and delivered them for Christmas.

For the month of December, we have decided to donate to the Parish Church of St. John the Baptist in Royston which was damaged due to a fire at the beginning of the month.
We are delighted to announce that the grand total of funds we have raised for various charities this year is £2162.86
A thank you to all of you for supporting us with this in 2018
