KHM 12 Months of Charity

We are now into the third month of the year (how did that happen?!), and the third month of KHM’s 12 months of charity challenge.

Inspired by our lovely Recruitment Consultant Chess, who raised over £1100 for Brain Tumour Research back in January, by making her ultimate sacrifice and giving up alcohol for 31 days, we decided to set ourselves the challenge of completing 11 more fundraising activities throughout 2018; one for each remaining month of the year, each time raising funds for a different worthy cause.

February’s fundraising efforts involved the KHM team rolling up their sleeves (or their girlfriend’s or mother’s sleeves in some cases) in the kitchen to bake a variety of scrummy cakes, not for themselves to indulge on, but to sell at our charity bake sale in aid of Wood Green, The Animals Charity. The team’s efforts, along with the support of the community, helped raise a total of £115.61 for the charity which takes in thousands of animals of all shapes and sizes each year, and helps find them secure, loving new homes.

March’s challenge comes in the form of a swear jar, which for a few members of the team, really has been a challenge…and we’re only 9 days in (it’s important that I point out here that all of our Recruitment Consultants are extremely professional and would never swear at or in front of their clients or candidates). So on the 1st March an office swear tally was begun, and will continue until March 31st when KHM team members will donate an amount dictated by their personal swear tally to the Just Giving Fund of a young lady diagnosed with terminal Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. This is a really great cause, and if our 12 months of charity has inspired you, then please do head over to her Just Giving page to add to her fund and help her enjoy the time she has left doing all the things she’s ever wanted to.

Follow our Facebook page to keep posted on KHM’s 12 months of charity endeavor. We have some great challenges coming up over the next few months…for now, all I will reveal is that April’s challenge involves men and wax.
